ANNOUNCING OUR ANNUAL AFFINIA GARDENS HOTEL THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 2nd through SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 5th Refreshments will be served This superb collection of over 750 works will showcase important images by James Allen, John Taylor Arms, Gustave Baumann, Frank W. Benson, Thomas Hart Benton, Paul Cadmus, Mark Freeman, Edward Hopper, Rockwell Kent, Martin Lewis, Louis Lozowick, Joseph Pennell, Ernest Roth, John Sloan, James J. Tissott, Stow Wengenroth, Grant Wood and Anders Zorn, among others. The collection includes etchings, lithographs, mezzotints and color woodblocks. Significant images portraying New York City and environs are: West 42nd Street & Out My Window by John Taylor Arms; Houston Street Burlesque by Mabel Dwight; Manhattan Waterfront & New York Skyline by Ernest Feine; 2nd Avenue El, Concrete Cliffs & Brooklyn Bridge by Mark Freeman; Grand Central Station by Otto Kuhler; Subway Steps, Fifth Avenue Bridge & The Tree, Manhattan by Martin Lewis; Tanks #1, Through Brooklyn Bridge Cables, Hanover Square & One Man Band by Louis Lozowick; Lower Manhattan From The Bridge by John Marin; After The Storm, New York & Towers In The Sun by William C. McNulty; Anschutz On Anatomy, Fun One Cent, Connoisseur of Prints, Hell Hole & Fifth Avenue Critics by John Sloan; as well as Model Resting and In Studio by Raphael Soyer. The images by Paul Cadmus are Two Boys On A Beach No. 1, Two Boys On A Beach No. 2, Youth With Kite, YMCA Locker Room and Polo Spill - Aspects of Suburban Life, as well as a fine conte crayon and white chalk drawing, titled Fred III. Of particular note is a group of choice lithographs by Thomas Hart Benton and Grant Wood, including Jesse James, The Race & Wreck of the Ol'97 by the former and January, In The Spring & December Afternoon by the latter. A fine selection of etchings by Frank W. Benson will include many figural pieces: Boats At Dawn, The Landing and Canoeman. In addition, the collection includes The Patroness by Peggy Bacon, Benediction In Georgia by George Bellows, Night Shadows by Edward Hopper, The Cyclist by Yasuo Kuniyoshi and St. Tropez: le Port by Paul Signac.
